We get this question all the time.  You receive the bill and make the payment by the due date.  You then get a cancellation notice followed by a reinstatement notice with a late fee tagged on.  This happens and it is frustrating.  Most of the time the payment was not recorded by the insurance company on or before the due date.  Chances are the payment was mailed before the due date.  But it must be received and processed by the insurance company on or before the due date.  Our recommendation is to pay online but if you have to mail it, get it in the mail at least 5 business days before the due date – and add a few days around Holidays.
